Facebook Pages Are The Only Way To Promote Your Business Or Organization!

Last week the Newsmedia was buzzing with the news that 83 Million Facebook accounts are “fake”. If you take out a couple of million accounts created for the purpose of “selling likes” the vast majority are probably so called “miscategorized” accounts. Meaning Facebook profiles used to promote a business or organization.

Yesterday I saw a post on Hoax-Slayer de-bunking the myth that animal rights groups are targeted by Facebook. They are not, but you are not supposed to use Profiles to promote your cause either. It’s not only against Facebook’s TOS but you also miss out on a whole lot of benefits Facebook Pages give us!

Using Facebook Profiles for anything other than a real person has been against Facebook’s Terms of Service since Pages were introduced but nobody seemed to do much about it. I suspect that Facebook will find a way to shut down these profiles quickly now because the “fake” accounts are damaging to Facebook’s bottom line and therefore it’s stock prices.

There are more reasons why it makes sense to switch to Facebook Pages as soon as possible:

Are you still stuck on your Profile? What prevents you from making the switch?
